Hi! I'm Ihsan, a software developer from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾. I'm the youngest of 2 boys to multiethnic parents. I was born and raise in the state of Selangor, and attended all 3 levels (kindegarten, primary, secondary) of schooling there. I pursued A-Levels at a local college before heading to Manchester, UK for a Bachelor's Degree in the fall of 2012. I studied Materials Science & Engineering for 3 years, graduated with Honors, and discovered a whole other world there. I was fortunate enough to travel on my own in a few European cities before returning to Malaysia in January of 2016.

Since returning to my home country, I have:

• tried and failed at turning photography from a hobby into a career. - (2016),
• started a job as a web designer and learned everything from scratch through online resources. - (May 2017),
• voted in the general election for the first time! - (May 2018)
• gotten married to my supportive and incredible wife. - (September 2018),
• co-founded a startup with 2 colleagues from my first job. -(April 2019),
• got a second job as a UX/UI Designer at a different company, and did the startup thing on the side. - (August 2019),
• launched 3 mobile apps with that startup; one for consumers to order cooking gas, a separate app for suppliers to receive those orders. The other mobile app was for our internal use to keep track of orders. - (May 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, no less),
• left the startup, and now currently working as a UX/UI developer for a local software house. - (February 2021)
• moved out with my wife to rent our own place, which was a huge challenge amidst the lockdown measures. - (April 2021)
  
  

A journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step

I first learned about what coding was back in my 2nd year of University, but I didn't give it much thought. I didn't think I was smart enough to even read about it, much less learn it. It wasn't until when I started my first job that I discovered the immense amount of available resources online where you could learn on programming and more, and so many of them are for free. That was how and when I got my first step into my coding journey, and I've been hooked ever since.

I may not be the smartest on the block, but I'm an eager-beaver learner, always looking to expand my skillset, and always up for an adventure.
